Youtube for Poker

I love youtube, not just for videos of cats flushing toilets and monkeys throwing poop on people, but for all of the informative online poker videos you can find. There are a number of video streams from professional online poker players, sharing tips and strategies, explaining their position in the industry.
Most recently, Tokwiro Enterprises CEO released a video in the lieu of the 60 Minutes segment that was supposed to air explaining what happened in the cheating scandal. While several videos were launched shortly after the incidents had occurred, explaining what was being done to recompense those involved, and what precautionary measures were being taken to ensure this sort of thing doesn’t happen again, the latest videos explain the company’s position on what happened, and reveals who was involved – for the most part.
The company is protecting the identity of two of the perpetrators, not because they want to save their asses, but because they feel it’s the only way to get the information they need to ensure this sort of thing doesn’t happen again.
It’s much like the U.S. government giving leniency to criminals if they agree to cooperate and rat out their accomplices. So I, unlike some in the online poker industry, can forgive them for not wanting to reveal the two involved – not to mention, I could see some people wanting to take physical action against the two.
And more importantly, the video explains the investigation conducted by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, who has distanced itself fully from the scandal, and it has been said that the Commission could file charges against the two perpetrators. This seems fair to me, and I hope that they do. Kahnawake has been praised within the industry for providing a safe and fair gaming atmosphere and I feel that they will do the right thing when the time is right.
You can access the videos right on youtube, along with some poker tips from members of Ultimate Bet – like Annie Duke – my personal hero!
