Poker is a Game of Skill!

Fantasy football is a game of…………skill? Yes folks fantasy football has been labeled as a game of skill; it has been said as a matter of fact to having more skill involved than a game of online poker. Of course there can be no chance in football at all, I mean quarterbacks never get blitzed and injured do they, and an acl tear is as predictable as an ice cream headache isn’t it?
It’s arguments like this that just get my goat. I tell you what play as a novice against someone like Chris Moneymaker and see how you do. If it is as said to be, a game of chance, then there should be no problem and you should have a 50/50 chance of beating him. The beating that you will receive at the table will be nothing more than good ol fashioned “luck”.
Poker cannot be a game of chance because you can hypothetically cheat at it, and any game involving nothing but pure chance cannot be cheated on. Monopoly for example, involves some chance but has far more skill involved. You can cheat at it to up your odds of winning but that is changing the luck side of it but none of the skill. You can beat a cheating player without cheating yourself at monopoly, if you are skillful……………SKILLFUL. Thus involving skill, poker is the same thing.
I just don’t understand why people don’t get this. How can such stupid point be taken seriously. I can only assume that the people making these laws has either never played the game or have some other vested interest in seeing that online poker be made illegal. Possibly more free two hundred thousand dollar golf trips or the like. Possibly more free golden toilet seats or fifty thousand dollar hammers (both are true by the way look it up somewhere out there is a congressman taking a dump on a seat of gold). So perhaps we shouldn’t take these people so seriously when election campaign commercials are running. Cause the guy on TV might be the guy with the golden butt.
