Bulgaria is beginning to make its way into the online poker industry, with another site opening to cater to its residents. It was about two years ago that poker started to grow for Bulgaria, but it certainly has expanded since.
The biggest event that Bulgaria hosts to date is the Bulgarian Poker Open, which includes live events like Omaha and Stud and brings over 146 players from Russia, Sweden, Denmark and the US.
Bwin is the latest addition to Bulgaria, fully customized to entice local players. It is a Vienna listed poker room that has created the site in the Bulgarian language, so that these poker players may now have access to several products not available before.
Bwin also offers sports betting as well as a casino. Their 19 different licencees are operated out of Gibraltar. Bwin has also expanded to Italy, in cooperation with partner AC Milan.
A press release says:
“Just days ago, bwin, cooperation partner of AC Milan, had two reasons to celebrate. First off, the star ensemble with the four letters on their jerseys won the Serie A game against Sampdoria 3:0, with goals by Ronaldinho (2) and Inzaghi.
On top of that, bwin took this opportunity to launch its new poker platform in Italy. A press conference preceded the match against Sampdoria, where on the pitch the Milan squad performed in a special jersey, the “bwin Poker” kit.
But that wasn’t enough. The logo appeared at the kick-off spot on the field before the game, and the perimeter advertising boards showed the bwin Poker branding especially for this occasion.
But that still wasn’t enough! At halftime, the biggest poker tournament in Italy was held. All 85,000 spectators were able to take part in a round of Texas-Hold’em and take a chance at winning a day at Milan’s training centre, Milanello.
Let it be a good omen that Milan won confidently. Cooperation partner bwin is equally confident that its poker platform will be a huge success on the Apennine Peninsula. “
Backgammon Masters is also available in Bulgarian.
