Tsk Tsk

The new conglomeration between top controversial online poker sites Ultimate bet and Absolute poker in my opinion is absolute crap. It kind of reminds me of when K-Mart or the big K if you’re stupid leagued up with Sears. They didn’t actually change anything they just hooked up their buying power. Both Sears and K-Mart were under threat of Bankruptcy at the time of their merger. Of course we all know that Absolute and Ultimate bet were under some pretty big scandal for a while there. If you remember reading here about the issues with pot ripper at Absolute and the super users found at Ultimate bet, then you’ll know that we’ve been keeping an eye on them from the start, as everyone really should. This smells of nothing more than a distraction to me. Ultimate bet decided that their best action would be to rid themselves of old faces that would be associated with the site from pre scandal, under new management if you will. Then they fire right back with shady tactics that reek of the same old smell, after the Michelle mid tournament buy out scandal now we get this distraction.
I guess it could be a smart move for them if the timing was right. First off wait till the heat dies down before starting any big endeavor with conglomerations and such. Wouldn’t you find it if right after Robert Blake got accused of shooting his wife wouldn’t you find it odd if he started hanging around OJ Simpson? It just gives a bad image and I think we all know that in business no matter what it is, image is a key factor to any kind of success. Just ask that tool bag Calvin Ayre, with his jet surfing and hang gliding (man I hate that guy).
Really if they would have waited awhile it might have been a good idea. Just like combining buying power they can mix together their betting customers. That is never a bad idea in any business, especially if you have any business that competes with the big dogs like Wal-Mart.
