Opportunity's a' Knockin'

I know one of the biggest arguments about online poker has been people will spend too much of their cash on the buy ins, for a chance to play for what they win as they win, real time poker if you will. The other option is to play low buy in poker tournaments to win spots at world events. Such as the Poker Stars buy in for Barcelona which is no more than a small fee of two dollars and twenty two cents for a chance to play in a overseas tournament that last year equaled a winning pot of sixty three million dollars.
This is an amazing chance for anyone who’s maybe on the broke side and also happens to be really good. Personally for me this would be fantastic. I don’t really have a ten thousand dollar bill sitting here that I can throw down for risk and afford to lose, but the people at Poker Stars certainly do, and they are more than willing to risk it due to the nice advertising that they would get from the T-shirt they would wear as well as a lovely hat. I mean have you happened to look up what national advertising costs these days. Hell compared to national Time Warner advertising they’re getting a bargain.
Anyway that was the point I’m trying to make, that these companies can offer much more than just a chance at playing in real time at risk. They can offer you a chance at a seat in Barcelona for two dollars and twenty two cents. If you win that also pays for your way there and your hotel. That in my book beats the crap out of a time share free trip to Florida to listen to a speech about condos that in the end costs about a hundred bucks a person. Here even if you play over and over you would be hard pressed to find the time to register in enough tournaments to lose four hundred bucks for a family of four. Just a thought.
