Something new I’d be wary of in the online poker industry. It’s a group of smaller sites that got together to share their player base, called iPoker. That’s all I know about it. Why you ask? Because iPoker fails to mention how it works. Here is their about me section.
“iPoker is one of the leading poker networks in the world. Our card rooms use Playtech’s innovative poker software, an industry leader. Our network currently offers 4 exciting poker games (Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo & 7 Card Stud). Players of all skill levels will find the table or tournament they look for.
Over ten million Dollars are given every month for guaranteed prize pools. Satellites to major land based events are available. You can play our exclusive progressive jackpots for consecutive wins of our jackpot sit ‘n’ go tournaments, and cash in on thousands of dollars! Powerful collusion tools make sure no foul play will be done at the tables, to keep the games fair.
Check out our card room list, and find the right iPoker card room for you!”
Now I would think that to get someone into something new like this would involve some kind of explanation as to how this idea works. I mean when you get a new debit card it has instructions and a pin number. As well as instructions on how to pull money out of an atm. Not that most of us need it, but it’s still nice to have some sort of reference as to how it works. Just in case someone may be a bit on the dumb side.
But with a fully conglomerated poker site promising thousands on the line, and tournaments with one and a half million dollars at stake, you would think there would be some sort of mention as to how it works. Not just a “Hey we’re really cool money, money, money” Advertisement about us section. Got to say at the end of looking at it, I’m skeptical.
