Anyone else get annoyed, when playing hold 'em, with the guy that bets before the flop? I realize that the professionals do it all the time, as well as many online poker players, but it makes no sense to me. I ALWAYS pay to see the flop, because you really never know what's going to come up.
This is generally how it will go for me. I'll have a really promising hand; something like king ace suited. Some jerk will have to raise, and I'll have to call because my cards are so high. The flop will then come up and it'll do NOTHING for me. It'll be like 4, 5, 6 of a different suit. On the other hand, sometimes when I fold because I have a hand that seems crappy, like 4 5 off-suit, and then the flop will be something like 4, 4, 5. It's BS I tells ya!
You wanna play it smart? Don't be the shmuck that raises before the flop and then has to bluff his way through the river because he didn't get what he needed!
