Something has come to my attention. NEVER attempt to discuss politics with your fellow poker players. Just because one may seem intelligent based on his strategic moves in the game does NOT mean that he is capable of carrying on an intellectual conversation.
It's easy to start talking with a bunch of your buddies over a good game of poker, but be very wary of what you discuss, for it can soon turn ugly and ruin the whole evening. There will always be one stupid ass that will argue everything you say without having educated himself on this subject, and it will piss you off. You'll start screaming at each other. A stupid ass is always a stubborn ass, so there will be no getting through to him. That will piss you off more.The other players will get uncomfortable, and you will have to leave before you can no longer contain your rage and jump up and pile drive the guy. Just speaking from experience here people. The three things you should NEVER talk about with ANYONE at the poker table:
1.) Religion
2.) Politics
3.) Music preferences
And there you have it folks. Again, this is why online poker is probably a better idea.
