The PPA is at it again, bless their millions of hearts. Another attempt to have online poker a regulated industry. They're going to start advertising in Washington publications to have a licensed poker market in the U.S. Super cool.
Of course this is far from the organization's first attempts for the industry. If there's anyone to thank for online poker being out in the open as it is with the media, it's the PPA. If there's anyone to thank for the blood, sweat and tears gone into fighting for our rights to gamble at all online, it's the PPA.
The group often holds events for the cause – they’ve run contests for its members to submit videos that fight for the legalization, they’ve provided government listings of all local officials with their personal stance on online poker, and they’ve provided every resource for its members to have their voice heard in the federal government.
Now, things look more optimistic than ever as far as licensing the market goes, as our upcoming pres plays poker, the economy is hurting for tax money, and the masses are demanding a regulated industry to protect its players – still it is best that we always assume the worst so that we are not horribly let down when we’re raped out of our rights again.
