I've played a lot of poker, and I've gotta say, I have never actually seen a royal flush. I've had a straight flush once. That was in the poker room... I believe that might have something to do with their draws being completely random.
So I imagine getting a RF in poker has gotta suck a little, especially while playing hold 'em. I mean, if you've got the draw on the board, you can't bet as much as you feel you SHOULD on that hand, because you'll give yourself away. However, you'll probably never get that hand for years to come, so you'd feel cheated if you didn't get squat for it.
On the other hand, another player could have the straight flush, and it could, in the end, be the greatest victory you'll ever have.
Just a thought.
