I favor PokerStars over all other online poker websites because they always seem to have the most innovative features, the newest being the video streaming website, pokerstars.tv. Unfortunately, some of my favorite players like Annie Duke are not associated with PokerStars, so you will miss out on SOME of your favorites, but there are still tons of helpful video blogs you can access.
I personally am a huge fan of Chris Moneymaker, one of the first real online poker gurus, and I really enjoy listening to what he has to say about his career. In one of his videos he talks about how he was never really apt in the sports world or blackjack, and how he found poker and that he had a knack for it. He goes on to explain how most pople can become quite skilled in the game if they put enough effort into it, and that players should take it more seriously than they do. Most people play for fun and so they don't really hone their skills as well as they could, he say. He comments that he's played with people who have played for 15 years that still play like amateurs because they don't spend time learning about the odds or what peoples weaknesses are. He says to start small on poker hands to get comfortable with the game, which is easy to do with PokerStars.
But it's just interesting learning about all of these peoples strategies, especially those who talk about their online experiences and how they came to have success with the game. I think this will be a vital assett to many new players and it's not something we all had to take advantage of initially. With this new feature, we may be seeing a whole new level of players out there, and that's really exciting for the online poker industry. I just discovered this recently, so I can see myself spending many an hour watching these people. Kudos, PokerStars!
